Well you know the old superstition that things happen in threes. Yesterday at school we got out early because of snow. It was the first exam day. We were supposed to go all day. Got out at 12:15.
Today it was early release for the kids at 12:45 for exams. Well, at 12:40, the power goes out. The power substation near the school blew up. It was tough getting the kids out of the building in the dark. I was in the bathroom with one of the kids. It was my student that requires so much attention. It was very interesting. Then - we had to figure out how to get my kid in a wheelchair down the stairs. We had her slide down the stairs on her butt. The administration sent the teachers home. Power was going to be out for a while....at least until 3:30. Nice to come home early.
